Spiritual Journaling
Don't always see how God shows up in your life? Seeking a deeper relationship with your Higher Power?
Spiritual Journaling allowed me to see the role that God was playing in my life. If I hadn't been journaling, I don't think I would have ever discovered this. It has deepened my relationship with God.
Spiritual Journaling is focused on your relationship with God - How did God show up? How were you cared for? What happened unexpectedly?
-
It is a Daily Discipline that draws me closer to God, and gives me time to be with God.
-
It allowed me to see how God showed up in my life, and see that my prayers were being answered.
-
It deepened my prayer life, it got me to start praying, and has let me see how my prayers have have evolved.
This is a 5 week program, meets once a week online Tuesdays 6:30-7:45 pm from September 29th, Oct 6, 13th, 20th, 27th.
We will meet for 1:15 hour, to discuss journaling, and insights related to that.
A suggested format for Journaling will be provided.
This group will be a learn and lead group. The intent is to learn the process of Spiritual journaling, so that you could lead your own group after the sessions.
What do you need:
-
A journal or notebook (I prefer a journal that's about 5x8, but it doesn't matter, a spiral bound notebook will do well)
-
About 30 minutes a day to dedicate to this practice
-
Meet once a week for 1:15 hour to Share (what you would like) about how God showed up in your life, and insights that you had.
-
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, part of journaling is a spiritual reading which is taken from this book.
